About The Show

Potted Potter 2

I bet you all know the legendary book series that became one of the world’s largest entertainment phenomena – Harry Potter. I’ve seen books, movies, toy figures, themed parks, etc., about this Hogwart magic. But the splendidly funny Potted Potter show is something different.

Audiences are hypnotized during 70 minutes of the performance by the two talented actors. I can say that they’ve successfully condensed all the highlights of 7 books on a single fantastic stage.

The two creators of the show are Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, who were nominated for Olivier Award twice. This dynamic duo brings iconic Harry Potter scenes to life with a hilarious twist, leaving audiences in stitches.

The comedic relationship between Scott, a bookish straight guy, and Dan, a silly, loud, and witty impersonator, will have you laughing like no other. Though the duo may be a little traditional, I can’t deny the energy, quick thinking, and clever improvisations of the two performers.

You won’t believe how they transform familiar moments into uniquely British silliness. This utterly delightful parody is packed with clever jokes, witty quips, and hilarious physical comedy, all centered around Harry Potter and his friends.

Even if you can’t distinguish between a Hufflepuff and a Horcrux, this funny show will make your jaw and cheeks in pain till the next day.

A game of quidditch is one of the most interesting parts of the show, and I could hardly keep my face straight. Even if you can’t distinguish between a Hufflepuff and a Horcrux, this funny show will make your jaw and cheeks in pain till the next day.

A game of quidditch is one of the most interesting parts of the show, and I could hardly keep my face straight. I like this part because of the great interaction with the audience that the two talented performers create.

They divide the audience into two halves: one side is Gryffindor, and the other is Slytherin. They need to throw a beach ball to the other team’s goal, which is the neon green circles on the balcony over the stage.

It may sound simple and easy. But the way the silly ball bounces in odd directions (no matter how hard I tried to bat it) will cause you to burst out laughing.

I give my thumbs up to how amazing the choreography is with fast-changing and endless costumes, ridiculous props, fire-breathing dragons, and crazy wizardry. All of them make the Harry Potter characters alive.

That’s enough for a sneak peek, guys! Come experience the show yourself and see how it casts a spell of laughter on you!

What We Like

  • Hilarious moments: Words can’t describe the laughs and craziness throughout this entertaining show. Honestly, I even caught Jeff and Dan struggling to hold in their laughter at times.
  • Cute show in an intimate atmosphere: The small, intimate atmosphere is perfect for the whole family. There’s no bad seat; just the front row will give you more chances to interact with the amazing actors.
  • Great for both Harry Potter fans and non-Harry Potter fans: It’s not necessary to know the Harry Potter story to roar with laughter with this show. The talent of the actors and their energetic interaction with the audience cover it all. My Australian friend isn’t really a Potterhead, but he still had a fun time indeed.

What We Don’t Like

  • Jokes sometimes are childish: Though most audiences are satisfied with the jokes, some may consider them silly and dumb. If you don’t have/ value kids’ sense of humor, you may need something more than a lighthearted evening with Potted Potter.
  • Maybe overly-priced for some: It’s what I heard the most from people who watched the show. Though they like everything about it, some wish they would need to pay less. By the way, to avoid this bad experience, I have some tips for you in the last section!
  • Difficulty in understanding the British accent: The show is all about British jokes. It’s just a small minor for those who are not used to the accent. But in general, Potted Potter is interesting, and the jokes still hit for most.

Is Potted Potter Worth Watching?

Yes. It’s a funny show for all family members to enjoy quality time together. No matter if you’re 6 years old or Dumbledore’s age, Potted Potter will make you burst out laughing.

Can Everyone Come To The Show?

Though Potted Potter is a family-friendly show, unfortunately, children under 6 years old are not allowed to watch it, according to age restrictions.

How Long Is The Show?

The entire show is about 70 mins.

Where To Sit

The best seat depends on your priority. There are 3 rows: Premium, Central, and General Admission, with the first one being the closest to the stage and the last one being the furthest.

The closer to the stage, the more expensive. The front row, Premium, provides a chance to interact with the cast. So, go for it if you wish to have more interaction.

The furthest row from the stage is the General Admission row, which costs around $81.11. It’s suitable for audiences on a budget to entertain.

Tips For Cheap Tickets

As mentioned above, the further from the stage, the cheaper. So, the last row is the most economical. I find the Central type hits the sweet spot, offering a fantastic view without burning a hole in my pocket.

Another way to get a cheap ticket is to buy it at the last moment (if you don’t mind the risk of unavailability).

For example, you can come to the Box office in the Horseshoe Hotel at 1:00 PM to buy a ticket for the performance at 2:00 PM.

Lastly, booking online on third-party websites can help you save up to 20%. I suggest you visit Govegasguide or Ticketmaster for the best deal.
