About the show

The Mentalist is, to me, a black sheep among other fancy and twinkling white sheep. I’m not saying you have to check out the show as a must-do thing while in Las Vegas. But if you come to Vegas and look for something different, something a little out of the norm, then The Mentalist is to be at.

It is no exaggeration to say that Gerry McCambridge aces mentalism. His ability to control the stage and perform mind-bending and unexpected tricks is captivating. His ability to read minds completely shook me and the audience.

Each performance is unique and oddly satisfying. Gerry McCambridge always interacts with the audience and makes them a part of the show. The way he incorporates his guests into the performance is seamless and out-of-this-world interesting.

If you are looking for a night filled with magic and mentalism with a thrilling and exciting vibe, The Mentalist with Gerry McCambridge won’t let you down. Each night is freshly different; see it for yourself.

What we don’t like

  • Repetitive acts. Unlike other magic shows where you can enjoy tons of different styles of magic tricks and illusions, The Mentalist strongly focuses on psychological tricks and mind-reading techniques. This might be everyone’s favorite.
  • Self-promotion. Some parts of the show made me wonder if it was necessary to include this. Gerry McCambridge spends time promoting his books, TV shows, etc., which I found a little out of the scope of the show.
  • 5-star review exchange for a gift. At the show’s beginning, we were asked to give a 5-star review before we got to see it in exchange for a gift. Though the show was good, I still feel weird witnessing that kind of “bribery” right from the start.

Where is the best seats when seeing The Mentalist?

The prices mentioned below are for reference only. You should check the ticketing site before deciding.

The General Admission Side ticket is around $29 and is non-refundable. The General Admission Center Ticket is also non-refundable and costs $44. These are the most budget-friendly options for The Mentalist.

VIP Side and VIP Center have a return policy up to 24 hours prior to show time. Tickets range from $54 to $60. Moreover, the VIP Center has an exclusive offer that includes a prix fixe dinner at Rainforest Cafe. The ticket is around $80.

My advice is to pick any section located in the middle for a broad and full view of the stage (and to prevent that annoying neckache).
