About The Tour

Shania Twain is back in Vegas, and this time, she’s bringing COME ON OVER to life. As someone who grew up with her music, I knew this show would hit differently. After all, the COME ON OVER album was THE best-selling album of all time by a female solo artist.

The moment I walked into the residency, I could tell right away that Shania had her hands all over the creative process. She’s always been one to shape her own image (which is quite evident since her iconic leopard print era), and these concerts are no exception.

But what you must be most curious about was how she’d take such a classic album and make it feel fresh. Would it be a straight-up nostalgia trip? A reinvention? Or something in between? Let me tell you my experience.

What We Like

  • Shania’s stage presence: One of the things that stood out to me most about COME ON OVER was just how much Shania enjoys performing. You can always tell when an artist is simply going through the setlist versus when they’re fully in the moment. And with her, she was having as much fun as the audience! She was constantly engaging — waving, making eye contact, reaching out to fans in the front rows.
  • Fantastic setlist: And then, of course, there was the music. The second the opening chords of Man! I Feel Like a Woman! rang out, the entire crowd lost it. She brought all the energy you’d hope for with her biggest hits, but I also liked that she didn’t stick strictly to nostalgia. Mixing in newer songs gave the setlist a good balance, and the transitions between eras felt natural rather than forced.
  • Great band, dancers, and visuals: I have to talk about the band, too, because they were amazing. Lindsey Ell on guitar was ridiculous in the best way possible. The drummer kept the energy high throughout the show, and the backup singers helped round out the sound beautifully. It was a tight, well-rehearsed group, but they still had a certain looseness that makes a live show feel, well, alive. Plus, the lighting and visuals were well done without being overwhelming.
  • Intimate theater setting: Speaking of the venue, I loved the theater setting. Having seen Shania in a stadium before, I can say this felt like an entirely different experience. The acoustics were excellent—there was so much more clarity in her voice, and every instrument had the space to be heard. The smaller space also made it feel more personal, like you were really watching her perform rather than just being part of a massive crowd.
  • Shania’s timeless talent: But what really left an impression on me was how strong of a performer Shania is. At 59, she’s still commanding the stage, still sounding great, and still putting in the effort to make each performance feel fresh. That’s what made this show so memorable for me.

What We Don’t Like

  • Lack of large screens: In a theater setting like this, you’d expect some kind of close-up projection so that people sitting farther back can still get a good view of Shania. But nope — no big screens at all. If you were lucky enough to have a great seat, it probably wasn’t a big deal, but from where I was sitting, it was hard to catch a lot of the little details.
  • Lighting issues: I get that concerts are supposed to have big, dramatic effects. But at times, the flashing lights were a lot. Some strobe-heavy moments felt quite distracting, and I even noticed a few people around me shielding their eyes or looking away.
I later heard that some people actually left because of it, which I can understand. A little warning about intense lighting effects would’ve been nice.
  • Sound problems: I love a loud concert, but in this case, the bass sometimes drowned out Shania’s vocals, especially on the bigger, more upbeat songs. There were moments where I could see her singing but struggled to hear her clearly over the instrumentals. Of course, it wasn’t a dealbreaker. But considering the venue was supposed to have great acoustics, I expected a more balanced mix.
  • Late start time: Though late starts are pretty common in concerts, waiting 45 minutes wasn’t exactly ideal. At first, the excitement kept the energy up, but after a while, people started glancing at their watches and debating whether to grab another drink just to pass the time. When the show finally started, it was great, but I can’t pretend the delay wasn’t frustrating.

Is The Shania Twain Show Worth Watching?

If you’ve never seen Shania live before and want to experience her music in a fun, high-energy setting, then yeah, COME ON OVER is definitely worth checking out. She still knows how to command a stage, and hearing all her iconic songs live is a blast.

But would I go again? Probably not. For the price, I expected a bit more polish, and issues like the overwhelming lighting effects and unbalanced sound took away from the experience. Also, the late start time was super frustrating for anyone on a tight schedule like me.

Where to See The Show?

Shania’s COME ON OVER residency is taking place at:

Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino

3667 Las Vegas Blvd S Las Vegas, NV 89109

It’s right on the Strip, so if you’re staying nearby, it’s super easy to get to.

How to Get There?

If you’re flying into Las Vegas Airport (LAS), you have plenty of options: shuttle, town car, taxi (all about 5 minutes), or a bus ride that takes around 33 minutes. Whatever works for your budget and time.

How Long Is Each Concert?

The show runs for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Personally, I think it’s just the right amount of time in theory – long enough to enjoy all the hits but not so long that it drags.

Is It Suitable for All Ages?

Yes! It’s open to anyone ages 6 and up. So, if you’ve got a younger Shania fan in the family, they can tag along, too.

Is There Any Rule Regarding Attire?

Nothing too strict, but they do require appropriate attire — so no swimwear and no cut-off shorts. Plus, you need to wear shoes (which, honestly, is just common sense for Vegas).

Can I Record The Performances with My Device/Camera?

No, recording is not allowed. If you’re hoping to capture the moment, you’ll have to stick to memories (or maybe sneak a quick photo before the show starts).

Can I Arrive Late?

Better not risk it! You need to be there at least 15 minutes before showtime. And they don’t have refunds for late arrivals, so plan accordingly.
