Garth Brooks starts his shows at 7 or 8 PM on selected dates. It’s late enough that it feels like a real night out (yet not so late that you’re wondering how rough the morning after is going to be).

About The Tour
Garth Brooks is finally back on tour. And let me tell you, seeing him live is an entirely different experience than just listening to the records. After all, with 170 million albums sold, his status as a country music legend is undeniable!
The moment the first chords of The Thunder Rolls hit, you can feel all the excitement in the air. Then there’s The Dance, a song that somehow still gets me every time, and of course, Friends in Low Places — an amazing singalong that can turn an entire arena into one giant, rowdy chorus.
Long story short, something about the energy of a Garth Brooks show definitely pulls you in and keeps you there. But are the shows really THAT good? Keep scrolling for my detailed review.
What We Like
- High-energy performance: What really makes a Garth Brooks concert special for me is how much it feels like an event. I feel like it’s something that’s happening in real-time, not simply a polished production that plays out the same way every night. Garth moves around the stage confidently, feeding off the crowd, and somehow, he keeps the high-intensity pace all the way through. I’ve been to plenty of shows where the energy dips somewhere in the middle, but that does not happen often here.
- Fan-favorite songs: Of course, he plays the classics — the ones everybody came to hear. The Thunder Rolls was a moment, and when The Dance started, you could feel the entire crowd hanging on every word. Similarly, Friends in Low Places was absolute chaos in the best way. People who barely knew each other were suddenly best friends, throwing their arms around each other and belting out the lyrics like it was closing time at a bar.
- Strong audience connection: To my pleasure, Garth Brooks didn’t just run through the hits like a checklist. He took time between songs to share stories — sometimes funny, sometimes emotional — about where they came from or what they mean to him now. And then there’s the way he interacts with the crowd. He actually sees his audience, which isn’t easy in a packed arena.
- Taking requests: From time to time, Garth Brooks also takes requests, and not in a “we planned this in advance” kind of way. In fact, he’ll spot a handwritten sign in the middle of the sea of people, point it out, and actually play the song. At the shows I went to, he picked a title that wasn’t even on the setlist, and the band just rolled with it!

What We Didn’t Like
- Pacing issues: Garth loves to talk to his audience, which is great in small doses. Still, there were times when the storytelling went on long enough that it felt like a pause button had been pressed on the show. Some fans around me were totally locked in, but I also noticed a few people checking their phones or chatting quietly — just waiting for him to jump back into the music.
- Standing problem: Yep, I expected a rowdy crowd (it’s a Garth Brooks concert, after all). But what I didn’t expect was to have my view blocked for almost the entire show. From the very first song, nearly everyone in my section stood up, which meant anyone who actually wanted to sit and enjoy the music was out of luck. I had no choice but to stand, too, which was fine for me, but I could hear people behind me grumbling about not being able to see.
- Post-concert chaos: The late start time meant everything wrapped up even later, so when the last encore finished, it was like a tidal wave of people all trying to leave at once. The flow of traffic inside the venue was painfully slow, and once I finally got outside, things didn’t get any better. I saw people just standing around, waiting for the crowd to clear, while others were practically speed-walking to try to beat the worst of it. I ended up inching my way to my car, only to sit there for what felt like forever before actually making it out. Definitely something I’d plan better for next time.
Is The Concert Worth Watching?
If you’re a die-hard Garth Brooks fan, then yes, this concert is a must-see. It’s packed with all the classic hits, and he still brings a wild energy that makes his live shows legendary.
But if this is your first time seeing him in concert, there are a few things to consider. Some fans love those intimate breaks between songs, but if you’re expecting back-to-back high-energy songs, there are points where things slow down.
Would I go again? Absolutely — but I’d pick my seats more carefully next time.

What Time Do The Concerts Start?
Officially, the concerts start at 8 PM. But based on my experience, you don’t want to cut it close.
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace fills up quickly, and between security lines and just navigating the crowd, it’s best to get there at least 45 minutes early.
Plus, if you’re planning on grabbing a drink or merch before the show, that time disappears fast. Also, Garth has been known to start a little late, so be prepared for a bit of a wait before the first song kicks in.
Where Does Garth Brooks Perform?
Right now, he’s performing at:
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace
3570 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
The venue itself is iconic. It’s not a massive stadium, so it gives you a more intimate experience, but it still has that larger-than-life feel that fits Garth’s performance style.
How to Get There?
Since it’s right in the heart of Las Vegas, getting to The Colosseum depends on where you’re coming from. If you’re driving, be ready for some frustrating traffic, especially after the show. If you’re taking public transit, here’s a rough idea of travel times from different locations:
Starting Location | Travel Time (Public Transit) |
Planet 13 Las Vegas, Paradise | 39 min |
Downtown Container Park, Las Vegas | 38 min |
Plaza Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas | 40 min |
Dotty’s, Spring Valley | 43 min |
Six Brothers Pest Control, Paradise | 50 min |
Desert Pines High School, Las Vegas | 65 min |
W Holistic Recovery Center, Las Vegas | 65 min |
Jewelry by Lore, Enterprise | 66 min |
South Shores Community Association, Spring Valley | 94 min |
If you’re staying nearby, walking is a great option since The Strip is always packed at night. But if you’re coming from farther out, I’d recommend checking public transit schedules to avoid long waits.
Are There Exclusive Offers for VIP Packages?
Yes! If you’re attending Garth Brooks/Plus ONE, you’ll get a special voucher that lets you buy the Garth Brooks LIVE LIVE Boxed Set.
This includes a custom book and five discs featuring 50+ live and newly released recordings. A cool add-on if you’re someone who loves collecting rare or exclusive items!
Are Children Allowed?
Yes, but there are age restrictions. Kids 6 and up are allowed, but anyone under 18 must be with an adult.
That being said, keep in mind this is a loud, high-energy concert that runs 2-3 hours, so it’s probably not ideal for really young kids. Plus, if your child isn’t a fan of standing for long periods (or being surrounded by loud, excited country music fans), they might not have the best time.
How Long Is Each Concert?
Expect 2 to 3 hours. Garth is known for taking his time with songs and feeding off the crowd’s energy, so if people are loud and engaged, he might extend the set longer.
At the show I attended, it definitely leaned toward the 3-hour mark — especially with the encores.
